My close friend who has been fighting in Gaza for the past year and half, asked me to help raise funds for a volunteer / “lone soldier” who sacrificed everything by making Aliya and volunteering to serve in the IDF.

He is about to get married and his comrades are trying to raise funds to help him pay for his wedding.

He knowingly sacrificed everything for his mission, and it his friends and fellow soldiers undertaking this Mitzvah.

I thought to myself, there is no greater cause to ask for on this holy day.
