Thanks for not asking too many hard questions! Henry Abramson’s 2014 Lectures in Review The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog. Here’s an excerpt: The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 31,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 11 sold-out performances for that many people to see it. Dear Hillel, As much as it pains me to miss any of your classes, miss I must! Dec 24 my daughter decided last minute “to cook” since her daughter had the night off and my son was in town. Dec 31 my son and I will not go out but will spend the evening viewing DVDs of old movies. I never leave home on NY eve. Then, during two Wed nights in January, I will miss more (thank goodness you are online even without the jokes). The MJFFestival has me for two weeks every night from Jan 15-29 at Miami Shores theater. So don’t write me off. I’ve been quite busy with family and my son the past two weeks. After January I plan to be back to classes as usual. Looking forward to it. Sincerely, Estabell Gettis And may the new secular year be filled with easy questions. Dear Dr. Abramson, I have been bingeing on your lectures of Jewish history and have been blown away at your erudition and menshlichkeit. In the lecture on Golda Meir, I think you may have mentioned the Nile when you meant the Suez Canal. Finally, I must tell you I beam whenever you respond to your daughterâs questions. Such a father. Such a daughter⦠Bâvracha, Bob Loading... Reply
Thank you for the kind words! I forwarded them to Aliza, who is now studying in Israel, and she really enjoyed the compliment. Loading... Reply
