Do I Actually Belong in Brooklyn?

Someone told me that this was printed in The Vues. I’m not a Rabbi, but I’m kind of pleased that Ari Hirsch asked for my opinion anyway. Makes me feel like I actually belong in Brooklyn, somehow, if I’m included in this paper known as “the Heimishe Voice.”

  1. Dear Henry,

In answer to your question, I would think without knowing better that you do not belong in Brooklyn. However, here you are. Amor fati.

Your answer is not Brooklynish. Brooklyn might say, “none, let the humans that are not part of Klal Yisroel work an their midos.”

They asked Ariel Sharon who didn’t fence in his ranch if he wasn’t scared that Bedouins would steal his sheep. He said no, the Bedouins should worry that he will steal their sheep.

    We love your style, Dean
